These goals were in fact the 1st goals ever scored in an u14 Girls League game by Glin.
Glin Rovers U14 had a great 2-1 win today in Glantine on their league season opener against a very strong Mountcollins/Glantine side.
MC/G took the lead early on, and Catherine Dunne equalised on 20 minutes after a great team move. Catherine Dunne was fouled in the box after 30 minutes, and Kayla Riordan stepped up to put away the penalty with a brilliant strike to the bottom corner.
Glin Rovers saw the game out in great fashion to record the win. Well done to all 19 girls that played today.
