Debut Game - Glin Rovers F.C. Girls U10s.
Saturday September 26th was a historic day for Glin Rovers as our first ever Girls u10 team took the field for a 7 v 7 match against Abbey United in Glin.
Many of these girls have never played soccer before, nor had many of them met each other until 3 weeks ago, yet they showed fantastic skill levels and teamwork from start to finish. The future is bright for this group of players.
We would like to thank Paddy Hogan of Hogans Shop for sponsoring goodie bags for the girls, and thank you to Breda Fitzgerald Ahern for organising.
Thank you to Abbey United for making the trip down and well played to all.
Training continues for these girls on Thursday night along with their friends on the u11 team. Our u11s will be taking the field in the coming weeks and they too will also be leaving their footprint on the 58 year history of the club.
